PROCESSING IN CONTROLLED LABORATORIES
The production of spirulina microalgae, from the harvesting phase inside the cultivation tanks to the packaging phase of the dried product, takes place directly within the VGreen company. The Spirulina microalgae processing unit is fully automated to optimize management and the production process.
PHASE 1
HARVESTING
The algae taken from the tanks are filtered inside a machine. The algae collection involves the conveyance of liquid from the tanks directly to the filtration machinery. The filtration unit allows you to separate the incoming liquid into two distinct flows: The "algae jam", very concentrated, used for the subsequent processing steps; The residual water, returned to the tanks as it is rich in salts and nutrients.
STEP 2
THE PRESSING
The algae jam is pressed to reduce its initial moisture percentage (algae paste). The algae paste is, through a drawing machine, reduced into small diameter spaghetti.
STEP 3
DRYING
The drawn spaghetti are then left to dry, on special food frames, inside a room powered by the heat coming from the cogeneration plant. The noodle shape is an excellent solution that allows rapid drying at medium temperatures, around 50 ° C.
STEP 4
MONITORING
The monitoring of all stages of processing and cultivation allows to detect the most important indicators of "well-being" of the crop in order to obtain a quality final product. The data collected is processed and managed, even remotely, in order to be able to develop timely solutions on the entire production process.

QUALITY

VGreen has the CoF qualification (Final Collector) and SGS Certificate for the issue of Traceability and Sustainability certificates.

INNOVATION

The company has developed specific experience in the direct management of plants for the production of electricity from renewable sources.

RENEWABLES
